Wellington’s Next Big Thing: Related Ross Unveils Village Landing, A New Destination for Retail, Dining & Living

Wellington is getting a major glow-up.

Related Ross today unveiled plans for Village Landing, a sprawling 71-acre mixed-use development that promises to bring a true downtown-style destination to the heart of Wellington.

Set at the intersection of Stribling Way and State Road 7, the ambitious project marks Related Ross’s first major South Florida expansion outside of West Palm Beach — and could reshape how residents in the western communities live, shop, dine, and gather.

Long known for its elite equestrian scene and quiet residential charm, Wellington has never had a centralized, walkable village core. Village Landing aims to change that with more than 220,000 square feet of retail, over 100,000 square feet of restaurants, a 180-room hotel, 90,000 square feet of office space, and a lineup of year-round community events and outdoor programming.

At the center of the development will be six interconnected plazas and green spaces tied together by a pedestrian-friendly main street, village square, and lakefront boardwalk. Plans also call for upgraded roads and intersections designed to improve connectivity throughout the area.

“Village Landing reflects Related Ross’s long-term commitment to Palm Beach County,” said Kevin Ryan, Executive Vice President of Related Ross. “We see an opportunity to craft something designed specifically for Wellington and the Western communities.”

The project is expected to feature more than 80 shops along with a curated mix of restaurants ranging from casual cafés to waterfront dining destinations. Developers say the goal is to create a place where residents can grab coffee, meet friends for dinner, attend farmers markets, or simply spend the afternoon outdoors with family.

Village Landing is also expected to host holiday festivals, pop-ups, fun runs, and local community events throughout the year.

The announcement marks the first major milestone for the project ahead of a planned groundbreaking this fall — and signals that Wellington may soon have a vibrant downtown destination of its own.
