District Fit Draws More Than 20,000 to CityPlace, Cementing West Palm Beach as a Wellness Destination

More than 20,000 people packed CityPlace as Related Ross wrapped up its largest and most ambitious District Fit festival to date, transforming downtown West Palm Beach into a multi-day celebration of fitness, wellness, music, and recovery.

Held April 10-11 across CityPlace and the Hilton West Palm Beach, the expanded event drew more than 1,400 attendees over four days and featured more than 15 complimentary workout classes, wellness activations, expert panels, live DJs, and recovery experiences.

Presented by Cleveland Clinic, District Fit brought together leading fitness and wellness brands including Equinox, Lululemon, TRX, Pvolve, and Hyperice.

“What started as a strong one-day wellness concept has evolved into a full-scale cultural moment,” said Eileen Sturgis, director of marketing at Related Ross. “It’s a powerful reflection of how wellness lives here in West Palm Beach — social, stylish, and deeply integrated into everyday life.”

The festival kicked off with “The Future of Vitality,” an invite-only gathering focused on longevity, performance, and the business of wellness. Industry leaders discussed emerging health trends and Florida’s booming wellness economy during panels moderated by Edward Hertzman.

Saturday’s main festival transformed CityPlace into an open-air wellness hub, featuring back-to-back fitness classes, yoga sessions, recovery lounges, and live DJ performances curated with Palm Tree Crew.

Highlights included workouts led by Kenny Santucci, yoga sessions from Lululemon ambassadors, and family-friendly programming from Systema Floyd. Guests also explored Restore Row, where brands showcased recovery technology, hydration stations, wellness drinks, and hands-on experiences.

As the sun set, electronic artist Surf Mesa closed out the festival with a high-energy performance, turning the fitness event into a full-scale music and lifestyle experience.

The festival also delivered a measurable economic boost to downtown West Palm Beach, with organizers reporting foot traffic increased by up to 50% compared to last year’s event. A large percentage of attendees fell within the 22-to-34-year-old demographic, reinforcing the city’s growing reputation as a hub for experience-driven living.

“CityPlace was designed to bring people together, and District Fit is a powerful example of that vision in action,” said Webber Hudson, executive vice president of Related Ross.

As West Palm Beach continues to position itself as a destination for wellness, culture, and innovation, District Fit has quickly emerged as one of the city’s signature annual events.
