Vanessa Trump, the former wife of Donald Trump Jr., revealed Wednesday that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
In an emotional Instagram post, the 48-year-old shared what she called a “personal health update,” saying she is currently working with doctors on a treatment plan following a recent medical procedure.
“I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer,” Trump wrote. “While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan.”
She thanked her doctors for performing a procedure earlier this week and said she remains focused on recovery while leaning on the support of her family and loved ones.
“I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me,” she wrote.
Trump also expressed gratitude for the outpouring of encouragement she has received since sharing the news.
“Thank you for your kindness and support — it truly means more than I can express,” she added. “I kindly ask for privacy as I focus on my health and recovery.”
Vanessa Trump was married to Donald Trump Jr. for more than a decade before the couple divorced in 2018. They share five children together.
